Bengal Engineers (BENGAL) is a Maryland based civil engineering firm with the mission to help our clients and teaming partners improve their communities by facilitating sustainability in engineering one project at a time.

BENGAL offers comprehensive civil engineering services in environmental and water resources engineering, site engineering, and utility engineering for both public and private clients. Our staff includes experienced professional engineers and technicians who have honed their technical expertise through their experience working for large engineering and construction firms in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Meet Subra
Subra Das is the founder and president of Bengal Engineers, LLC. He is a passionate leader with a proven track record of providing technical acumen and engineering expertise in design, bid, and design-build services. He maintains a persistent mindset along with the energy level to go the extra mile to get things done.
Subra is a registered professional civil engineer with over 20 years of industry project, client and contract management experience. He has significant experience and expertise in civil engineering and surveying and possess strong leadership and management skills. Throughout his professional career, Subra has designed and/or managed over 100 small to mega projects in Maryland and its neighboring states including the Inter-County Connector and the Port Covington in the State of Maryland. He has held a senior leadership position in the consulting engineering industry and managed an engineering department for a well-established, Engineering News Record (ENR) Top 500 design firm in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Subra earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from MNNIT India in 1999 and master’s degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University in 2004. He obtained his professional engineer (PE) license in the state of Maryland in 2010. He currently maintains professional engineer licenses in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Subra is committed to engineering best practices and the latest technological advancements in engineering and construction. This commitment drives him to participate in continuing education opportunities and industry certifications, allowing Subra to keep abreast with industry updates and trends. He is active with numerous professional associations and has served on various committees of American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)/Maryland.
